The mission of the Gold Medal Wine Tour (GMWT) is to offer an extraordinary evening of fine wine and spectacular food, while raising funds for local charities.
South Florida is host to one of the largest Wine Competitions in the country, the American Fine Wine Competition. The Competition consists of a juried, star-studded wine tasting panel of accomplished wine experts, educators, wine writers, savvy buyers, and certified sommeliers.
This year the AFWC took place on January 17 & 18. The judges tasted more than 500 wines. All of the wines entered will be featured at the Gala dinner on March 13, 2010. Check out the details of this exciting Gala at www.americanfinewinecompeition.com
Beginning in April, the Gold medal winning wines of the competition will take place at South Florida's best restaurants.

In the past two years, these dinners have raised more than $300,000 for charity.
Each dinner is custom designed to help the charity raise funds through ticket sales, silent auctions, and other entertaining opportunities.
